Argan or Jojoba Oil?
Jojoba Oil is technically a liquid wax, not an oil, which makes it uniquely similar to your skin's own natural sebum. This means it absorbs beautifully without feeling greasy and is less likely to clog pores, making it an excellent choice for all skin types — including oily and acne-prone skin. It's deeply moisturizing, rich in vitamins E and B, and has natural anti-inflammatory properties that help calm redness and irritation. Because it so closely mimics the skin's natural oils, it helps balance oil production over time, making it a go-to for anyone who struggles with combination or reactive skin.
Argan Oil is often called "liquid gold" and is celebrated for its rich, nourishing profile packed with vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. It's particularly well known for its ability to deeply hydrate dry and mature skin, improve elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines. It has a slightly richer feel than jojoba and absorbs well without leaving a heavy residue, making it ideal for dry, aging, or environmentally stressed skin.
When choosing between the two for your whipped tallow balm, a simple rule of thumb is this: if your skin tends to run oily, combination, or sensitive, reach for the jojoba blend. If your skin leans dry, mature, or in need of extra nourishment, the argan blend is your best match.
